Making Change Happen through Women's Collective Action

This side event taking place at the time of the CSW in New York and co-organised by Pathways and UN Women will bring together findings from Pathways' multi-country research programme in which UN Women has been a key partner.

The event will take place on Tuesday 28 February from 3 pm to 4.15 pm in Conference Room A of the North Lawn Building. It is essential to RSVP for this event, please email progress@unwomen.org with 'Pathways RSVP' in the subject line

The panel will share findings from collaborative and comparative research projects that have included studies of women’s collective action in Bangladesh, Brazil, Ghana, Egypt, Nigeria, Palestine, Pakistan, Sierra Leone and Sudan. Panellists will include:

Anne Marie Goetz from UN Women will act as a discussant. The panel will be chaired by Andrea Cornwall, Director of the Pathways of Women’s Empowerment programme.
